1. GROUND SCHOOL

Before anyone goes anywhere, we make sure everyone’s on the same page.

Skydiving is mind-blowingly awesome. For you to get the full benefit of the experience, it’s important you feel comfortable and confident. Our 30-minute ground school provides an in-depth overview of what to expect and when, and allows time for questions.



Once good to go, you’ll be kitted out with a harness that connects you to your certified instructor and the parachute system.

2. RIDE UP

Skydive The Bahamas has two amazing and supremely cool aircraft. When your load is called, you’ll board one of our happy-go-lucky workhorses and climb to your exit altitude. All of our guest will have their experience filmed from the time we board the plane, the beautiful views on the flight up, and the jump its self.

At altitude, the pilot will give the green light and you and your tandem instructor will prepare to jump into the glorious big blue.

3. FREEFALL

THIS is the moment you’ve been waiting for, or maybe sweating over. The door will open and you and your instructor will leap into freefall!

For the next 40 seconds, you’ll fly belly to the earth at 120 mph. The wind resistance will prevent you from the dreaded gut-drop sensation you get with roller coasters. Instead of falling, you’ll soar ... blissfully experiencing the closest thing to human flight.

4. CANOPY FLIGHT

Around 5,500 feet, your tandem instructor will deploy the parachute. After the rush of freefall, you’ll be amazed at how quiet and peaceful it feels while under canopy.

At this point, you and your instructor will be able to easily communicate. You can talk about what you’ve just experienced, and what’s ahead. You can even steer the canopy if conditions are favorable and you’re keen to try. This is your moment to soak up the incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean and the breathtaking Grand Bahama Island beaches.

5. LANDING

Landing on the beach is normally a rare occurrence. At Skydive The Bahamas EVERY one of our jumps is a beach landing! We will fly over the Grand Bahama Island’s southern coastline and land in front of The Stoned Crab Restaurant on the beautiful Taino Beach. You can enjoy the scenery with your friends and family with a much needed refreshment and celebrate!
